Wingo Studio was established in early 2008. The founder and principal photographer, Wingo made his name as THE Toronto social scene photographer by becoming one of the busiest event shooters in town. Photographing at least 3 live events a week since late 2007, Wingo booted up his photography career at a phenomenal speed; thanks to the 4-year industry experiences working in some of Canada’s biggest commercial studios as a freelance assistant and producer.
Coming out as a rookie photographer at the end of 2007, soon he’s seen everywhere from headlining club parties, such as DJ Offer Nissim’s Toronto debut at Sound Academy, to Canada’s most glamorous affair, L’Oreal Fashion Week.
Educated in Sheridan College’s acclaimed Applied Photography program, Wingo’s highly stylized photos are famous for perpetuating the dynamics of the ‘scene’ lifestyle with his signature popping colors and finest details. By utilizing cutting-edge digital technology, Wingo’s determined to capture every significant moment with film-defying smooth tonality and vivid clarity.
Just months after shooting events professionally, in summer of 2008, Wingo went on to establish ‘Wingo Digital Studio’ in downtown Toronto and gradually transformed himself into a portrait, editorial and fashion photographer. Like many emerging young talented designers, models, stylists and artists he’s been working with, Wingo makes every effort towards a success in the photo industry. He keeps getting new inspirations from the industry’s new star and legends in likes of Herb Ritts, Richard Avedon, Bruce Webber, Annie Leibovitz, David LaChapelle, among others.
